You can try twisting it off gently — it should unscrew. On some newer versions, the “hat” might be glued in place as part of a safety upgrade, so it might not remove easily. Also, if you have kids around, I’d recommend leaving it on — it’s there for protection, and once removed, it’s easy to misplace (or worse, for little ones to swallow). Just something to keep in mind!
