Behind the Design: A Dream Worth Building

“When I was little, I used to dream of having wings. Not just for flying, but for freedom — for being able to become anything I wanted.”

 

That dream inspired the creation of the Wings of Freedom Kit.

 

Our aim was to design something that felt light and playful yet meaningful — a wearable symbol of courage, colour and creative energy.

🦋 Why Wings of Freedom?

As Bivy’s Wonderland reaches a milestone in its reconstruction, the laboratory has decided to host a grand celebration, for which the Wings of Freedom Kit has been created.

 

Children and parents are invited to work together, pick up their official mission card and build a pair of wearable wings — symbols of hope, courage and creative freedom.

 

But this isn’t just a craft activity. It’s a story in motion.

 

When children wear their handmade wings and participate in the celebration, they are not only bringing colour and movement to the wonderland, they are also symbolically breaking through the storm. Each flap of the wings represents a return to joy, light and imagination.

There’s a quiet kind of magic in watching a child lift their arms, feel the breeze catch their wings, and believe—if only for a moment—that they might truly take flight. Every one of them is powered by creativity, courage, and the joy of making something real.

In the next chapter of Bivy's Wonderland, children will be invited to do more than just build; they will be encouraged to transform — to break out of their shells, discover new aspects of themselves and experience the freedom that comes with creative expression and self-discovery.
